21. James A. Noll and his Geese

In this photo you can see the small garage where he kept the old 1924 Reo truck. The bee hives can just be see on the right. I remember the geese would chase us if we came into their pen. On some trips Grampa would go to the water's edge on the Puget Sound and dig up clams for supper. We would also go visit friends who lived in the area. One old man had a very small house with a dirt floor and Grampa would bring him food. In those days all the roads were dirt and some gravel.
