They Explain the Situation
According to the doctors, 18 minutes after the shot on the wrist I fell to the
floor. When they got to me I had no pulse, no blood pressure and breathing had
stopped. And they were worried, very worried. It took 6.5 minutes to get the
heart going again and some 18 minutes to regain consciousness. After a while
on the floor they moved me to a gurney. They then sent someone to get
Bernice. It was most fortunate that she had not come with me or they might
have had two patients. They got me into a car and off to the hospital we went.
They kept asking me how I felt and I replied I felt terrible. They asked where
I hurt and I replied I really didn't know. All my nerves were totally shot. I
didn't know what was wrong.
