Glass Screw-in Fuse

We had many of these in past years. You kept a few fuses to use when the old one burnt out. They came in 15 and 20 amp sizes. Others for 220 volt appliances you had 30, 40 and 50 amp fuses. It was vital to put the right size in the right places. Later all were replaced by circuit breakers.
