Noble Fir

Abies procera Native to the Siskiyou Mountains of California, northern mountains of Oregon and Washington. Grown as a live Christmas tree. Grows to 90-200 ft. tall in the wild, and almost as tall in Northwest gardens. My friend Stan Smith had one growing in a bath tub. It had outgrown that and he gave it to us in 2005. It has reached about 3 feet high. We planted it in the new area behind the wall in the front yard. Alas it did not survive the transplant.
