26. Pleasant Hill Sundown Pizza and Chicken

Gary Hill and his wife, Dianne, opened Sundown Pizza & Chicken this week, next door to his existing cafe in the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center, and so far his hunch is paying off. The Hills spent about $100,000 remodeling a portion of the former Pleasant Hill Feed store for their new restaurant, including $10,000 for a chicken cooker to prepare their Coopers Express fried chicken. Sundown Pizza & Chicken is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
