Storm Firewood 52

Home of the Nolls

Storm Firewood - 52

In 2003 we had a rather fierce windstorm. Thousands of homes lost their power for several weeks. Many trees and power line poles blew over. This wood represents some of the trees blown over by the storm. By chance a crew from the electric company happened to be at our home trimming the trees along the power lines that pass by our home when the storm came up. We all hunkered under cover until the storm ended. As quickly as it began it stopped. It had not been predicted. We spent a few days sawing up the fallen trees and putting them in the wood shed below the hot tub. We have firewood for a few years now. Paul will spend a fair amount of time splitting the wood in the future.
