Home of the Nolls Automatic Weather Station - 53 My son Landon Noll gave us this automatic weather station for Christmas in 2002. The outside unit on the left sends a radio signal to the inside unit to tell us the outside temperature. It measures in tenths of degrees. You can set it up for centigrade or Fahrenheit. The outside unto has been fastened to a protected area out of the rain and sun. The inside unit has been mounted on the wall in the house. The inside unit will indicate the temperature inside and outside. It will also indicates whether the temperature is rising or falling for both inside and outside. ⇦ Back to Page 52 On to Page 54 ⇨Return to Noll Home Scenes - Page 7 |

It also indicates the maximum and minimum for both inside and outside temperatures. Because you set it for the time and date it will indicate the phases of the moon. The units communicate by means of radio signals. No wires are required between units. After setting for your home altitude it will indicate the atmospheric pressure. This pressure can be set for inches of mercury or millibars. It also indicate the humidity level and whether it is falling or rising. It will indicate its prediction of clouds and rain. Both the inside unit and outside unit have batteries. The outside unit is powered by a 9-volt and the inside by 4 AA batteries. We use rechargeable batteries. It works quite well and helps us determine what we should do for the day, weatherwise. |
