28. 15 inch Drill Press - Sears Craftsman After some 52 years my old drill press bought in 1953 began to wear out. Sears did not have repair parts so we had to buy a new one. This new drill press has many new features the old one did not have. It now has a laser beam that pinpoints the spot where the hole will be made. It also has a crank to raise or lower the table and the ability to rotate and tilt the table. It also incorporates a light inside the housing for illumination. Another feature is the ability to lower the drill bit from either the left or right side for left-handed people and well as right-handed people. Our 15 inch Drill Press is a Sears Craftsman Model 137.227.229250. I have attached the chuck key with a bungee cord so it can't get lost. Hi-Res Pic (133K)For detail on the laser beam click here |
