Chet Leland Noll's Seventh Birthday

This is a picture of the boy's play yard down below the deck. We had obtained an old swing set from a man at the telephone company. Mom and Dad sanded it, painted it, rebuilt the swing seats and bought new chains. We then built a unit with a barrel with a bar and hung an old tire. Mom and Dad then made a merry-go-round and mounted a car on it. Chet spent many hours running on the barrel. He would also use the merry-go-round with Landon in the car. It was a lot of fun to construct it and both boys used it for a long time.
