1. Make Plans and Write Materials List

Before we start the desk we review the plans and make out a material list. We list the hardware, wood needed, laminate, glue, plywood and any special tools. Some material such as for the legs we checked out what we have already in stock and set them aside. We layout on paper the plywood pieces needed so we can be assured that the required pieces can be cut from the pieces we order. We identified some hardware needed such as brackets to fasten the legs to the top and angle iron to fasten the two top pieces together and some bolts. We had the special tools needed such as the router bits to trim the plastic laminate and trim edges.
