Fort Clatsop Memorial, Oregon 5. Fort Clatsop Plan The completed fort had three Enlisted Men's Quarters along one side. Each Enlisted Men's Quarters housed a sergeant and eight men. The inside consisted of bunk beds, a table, and a fireplace. Above the bunks on either side of the fireplace had a storage area. On the other side the Charbonneau family (Toussaint, Sacagawea, and their infant son Pomp had a room. Next to that sat the Captains' Quarters (a room for Lewis and Clark), an Orderly Room and a Store House. They constructed a Sentry Box that covered an area with just enough room for a man to stand in and be out of the rain. The completed fort measured approximately 50 feet by 50 feet.
