Redstem Filaree (Common Stork's Bill, Redstem Storksbill)

Erodium cicutarium - Usually reddish stems leaning or lying on the ground, small fern-like leaves, 2-10 small, deep reddish-lavender flowers in a loose cluster, and long, slender pin-like fruits that stick straight up. Flowers about 1/2 inch wide; 5 petals. Flowers February to June. Found in open areas, often where the soil is disturbed. Nonnative
