Philadelphia Fleabane (Philadelphia Daisy, Pink Fleabane)

Erigeron philadelphicus - Native, widespread across N. America. Common. Stems, erect, 2-7cm tall, usually downy with spreading hairs. Leaves, basal, oblong lance-like or obovate, scalloped or lobed, short-stalked; upper, alternate; stalkless, clasping, usually obovate, sharp-pointed and scalloped, toothed or nearly smooth edged. Flower heads: 1-many, in an open cluster; 4-6mm high; mostly over 150 deep pink, purplish or white ray; about 2 cm across; May-July. Fruit, Habitat: moist open woods, thickets, fields.
