Ribes Lobbii - Uncommon, early summer, perennial,18-36 in. Erect to spreading shrub. Stems with 3 spines at nodes,. Leaves 1/2-1 in. wide, nearly round, shallowly lobed, upper surface shiny, lower surface with some hair, glandular-sticky. Flowers 1-3, hanging in cluster, with red sepals about 1/2 in. long folded back; white petals shorter than sepals, pointing downward and curling inward, sometimes nearly touching. Anthers extend well beyond petals. Berries oblong, red, densely covered with bristles. Found from lowland into subalpine. Flower looks like a red and white fuchia.
