Wildflowers Found in Oregon Vancouver Groundcone Boschniakia hookeri Yellow to red or purple parasitic herb to 12 cm tall from a thickened tuber-like underground stem. Leaves scale-like (like the scales on a conifer cone), broad, overlapping, Usually growing on salal, at low elevations, southwester B.C. south to northern Califiornia.
