Wildflowers Found in Oregon Yellowleaf Iris Iris chrysophylla - Uncommon, late spring, perennial, 2-8 in. Stems erect or stemless, leaves pointing upward. Rhizomes creeping to 12 in. Leaves evergreen, light yellowish green, about 1/4 in. wide, pink or red at base. Flower stem to 8 in., holds 2 flowers. Flowers white sometimes tinged blue, or cream to pale yellow with darkening veining, perianth tube 1 1/2-4 in. long and slender, narrow petals held horizontal to ground.
