Bull's Eye Lichen

Placopsis gelida - A small, disc-shaped, lobed crust lichen, 20-50 mm broad; upper surface whitish-grey or greenish-grey., often somewhat roughened, bearing tiny, powdery balls, often bearing fleshy pink 'warts' and saucer-like fruiting bodies. Found on sloping rock surfaces in open sites at lower elevations; best developed over freshly exposed rock in humid localities; common.
