Wildflowers Found in Oregon Bird's Foot Trefoil Lotus corniculatus - Common, all summer, perennial, 1-2 ft. Stems solid, decumbent or ascending from small root. Stems and leaves hairless or with a few rigid hairs. Leaves divided pinnately to 5 leaflets, lower 2 are stipules, 3 leaflets at stem tip. Flowers 308 in circle on long leafless stalk, bright yellow turning brown with age. Naturalized in disturbed soils below 3500 ft. Often planted as a pasture species. Nonnative.
