10. Sgt. Woods Non-Commissioned in Charge at Taejon Relay Sgt. Woods was a World War II vet who seemed old because most of us were very young. I don't recall him ever raising his voice to anyone. He was more like a father figure than a ramrod. Sergeants are the backbone of any military force. A good one and most are good, keep the men motivated by pride and good guidance.
