Here Don Campbell and Paul Noll rest after repairing one of our trucks that had broken down going up the hill. One of the members of the team had been driving up the hill when his truck had stalled. He couldn't get it started again. He walked back down and told us the problem. If the truck had remained there the Koreans would strip it and sell it on the black market. Don, Fukemoto and I volunteered to walk up the hill to try to repair it and bring it back.

We were both wearing new uniforms and didn't want to get our uniforms greasy while working on the truck. We did repair it and got it going. We were resting and along came a Major driving a Jeep (a visitor, not one of our people) and chewed us out for being out of uniform.
