Stonestown was base camp for Richmond Microwave/VHF Site, HQ for Co C STRATCOM Long-Lines Bn-South and was like a piece of the good old USA. It was our home away from home and provided familiar experiences ranging from hamburgers, beer, and music and dining. I bought my first 35 mm SLR camera, a Petri FT from the small PX there after saving up my pay for 4 months. Most of my pay went home in an allotment so it took awhile before I could buy it for about $80 and I still have it today although it is broken.
