Richmond Relay - 1969-70
50. Mr. U Yong Im, Our Korean Tech
Our duty shifts were 8-10 hrs duration and consisted mainly of recording
equipment meter readings, cleaning, minor repairs and keeping the site log of
daily events. Mr. U Young Im did not work nights so we were on our own for
minor problems. However, if there was a major equipment outage we would send a
vehicle to Kunsan and pick up the technician at his home and bring him back to
site to help.
I sprained my ankle several times while running to fix a problem in radio operations in the middle of the night. My ankle was never the same after I sprained it so I kept re- injuring it. I also fell on the ice and injured my knee and had to use a cane to walk with for awhile. ⇦ Back to Page 49 Return to Page 7 On to Page 51 ⇨ |
