2. Bird Feeder with Sunflower Seeds

This shows the fourth bird feeder we made. We fill this one with Sunflower Seeds. By having a number of feeders we can accommodate different birds that like different food. Also the bullies cannot guard all the feeders so that more shy birds can eat while the Jays guard the feeder they eat at.

A problem developed. Squirrels easily climbed to 3/4 inch poly pole and emptied the sunflowers very quickly. We then added the cone to prevent the critters from climbing the pole. The California Quail clean up any seed that the other birds drop.
