Canning Apricot Nectar
Remove Rings and Wash Jars On the next day after the jars have cooled we remove the rings and wash the jars with warm soapy water. The rings are not heeded until you open the jar for use. Storing the rings on the jar will often cause corrosion during the storage and make it difficult to remove the ring. You also need to wash under the ring to prevent a haven for ants. It is wise to mark the lids with the contents and the year they were canned. Store jars in a cool and dark place. Heat and light are the enemies of canned food in jars. ⇦ Back to - Step 21 On to - Step 1 ⇨Return to Apricot Nectar - Page 3 |
