Step Five, Need Good Stirring Spoon

Now why did we show a spoon one of the step? Note our long wooden spoon has a rather flat edge. That makes the stirring much more efficient in that you need to stir constantly to keep for sticking and scorching the pudding. We have had this spoon in the family for some 45 years. I remember tapioca pudding being fixed by Mom some 70 years ago as a little kid. It is one of those comfort foods that you don't often see anymore these days of instant, sugar laden puddings.
