6. Bernice Noll in 1941.

Bernice has become a beautiful young lady of 13. She always has a ready smile. By this time I had discovered drawing and spent a lot of time doing this. The school had an art exhibition of famous painting and as soon as I finished my school work, my teacher would let me go out to sketch these paintings. I also wrote a play with my friend Betty Brown and we performed it for my class. I was very shy around boys.
