5. Paul Learns Cockpit Instrument Checks

A good pilot must scan all the instruments continually to see that all indications are good. Before you start to take off you must check the compass, altimeter, radios, lights and circuits. You follow a checklist to make sure you have completed all checks. Each plane you fly very often have the instruments located in different places so you have to acclimate yourself to the new arranged cluster. Radio frequencies will then be set to the ground controller and the tower frequencies. An airplane must have permission to move their plane to any location on the airport.
