Annual Fleabane

Erigeron annuus - Common, all summer, annual, 1-5 ft. Erect, sparsely hairy. Stems with hairs spreading outward. Leaves oval, about 5 in. long, coarsely toothed, smaller on upper stem. Inflorescence branched; multiple leafy stalks with many flower heads. Flower heads have 80-120 rays, each about 1/2 in. long, white or pale blue, not reflexed, surrounding yellow disks. Native to eastern United States. Non-native.
